So I purchased the Marc Jacobs new foundation and when I was using it in the sample it wasn't drying or casket at all! I bought it and it's been cakey and drying. I cannot return it and continue to use it because it was expensive. I was wondering if I'm applying it wrong. I apply it by either using a foundation brush or a Beaty blender!

Where did you get it that you can't return it?

Are you doing anything different?? It could be that you need to exfoliate and moisturize more before you apply your foundation.

You could mix it with a moisterizer and create a tinted moisterizer or you can mix it with a moisterizing foundation like L'Or?al Lumi. And I hope you're applying a moisterizer before foundation.

Do you shake it well prior to every use? I know this formula tends to separate a little bit. Also, the MJ coconut primer works wonders. I apply it with a stippling brush, similar to the face III by MJ but a bit smaller for a more controlled application. And I agree, still with the primer you should never skip your own moisturizer. Also, if you set it with powder try using one without talc, since that can add to tge drying cakey effect. I use the NARS light reflecting powder, which gives it a nice satin finish (I don't loke matte)
Let me know if it works out for you, because I use it and its truly remarkable!

Okay thank you! I moisturizer like crazy (but not too crazy) and I think it could be because I'm not shaking it enough, I'll try and see if that will help thank you'
