My hair color right now is kind of a dirty blondish and I wanted to go darker to go back to my roots but now I'm just undecided on whether or not I should go darker or go lighter!!

I think a darker color would look great on you! Knowing from experience if you go lighter depending on your skin tone it may wash your face out.

Idk what was used bc my hairdresser did it, she put low lights in in November and I haven't gotten it done since.

Get it redone again
and go a wavy hair cut to enhance the highlights
it will make your look more glamorous

I really like your blonde hair, but what I say isn't going to matter because of all of these other opinions but you have nice smooth blonde hair, if you dye it it will be harder to get this way! but yolo.
