Hair Exstensions Help!!

I got the Foxy Locks Honey Spice Ombre hair extensions for Christmas and they are already shedding and looking damaged. I washed them with a hydrating hair mask/deep conditioner. The only thing is that my hair is wavy and the extensions are straight so if I want to wear them down I have to use heat on either them or my hair. Whenever I use heat I always use a heat protectant but there are already short hairs and towards the clip little hairs that have been pulled out. I only use a wide toothed comb or paddle brush like recommend. Please help me!

I've done that but I don't like straightening my hair all the time. My hair extensions are ombre and the blonde is higher than my hair if that makes sense. So it looks like I have blonde extensions. And I should have gotten a thicker pair instead of 165 grams.
