It kinda happened out of nowhere and it's very sad, I plan on getting a hair cut but in the mean time, what are product or methods to making it look shinier and softer? Does leaving in normal conditioner over night do anything? Does coconut oil even work? I heard something about using olive oil at one point? Help!

What I do is I heat about 1/3 of a cup of olive oil just for a few seconds in the microwave so its warm.. then I go into the bathroom and with my hand work it into my scalp.. once all the olive oil is gone I tie my hair up in a bun and leave it for 20-30 minutes... then I wash it really well to get rid of any excess oil.. my hair was so shiny and it stayed like it until I did the treatment again a week later... you coud also try a leave in conditioner.
