Oki so basically I have blonde hair naturally like a normal blonde color and I would like to get my hair dyed grey. So I heard that you have to bleach your hair almost white so I am wondering if my hair would be really damaged from getting it bleached because I have fine blonde hair. If so is there any other way to get grey hair.
Btw I would go to a hair salon to get it done.

I'll suggest you to get it done from salon
Bleach dries hair and leave it very frizzy and damaged
so you can get it done from salon... Good luck :)

I hope this doesn't sound crazy but... When I was thinking about dying my hair gray I went and tried on a wig first. I was wearing a green shirt, and the first thing I thought was, omg the gray and green look awful! (Maybe it's just me, I dunno) I realized I may have to coordinate what I wear. So I bought the wig! Now I can have gray hair when I want and not have to worry about anything that comes along with dying it. The wig itself costs as much as dying it would have. Just my two cents!

I think that since your hair is already blonde you might only need to light your hair a little bit more. I loved my gray hair but it was hard to maintain it. For any bleach damage, if any I recommend to use protein treatments once a month.

There is no way to chemically alter your hair without damage. However, when properly done the damage can be minimal. You are the ideal client, it won't take much to lift you to the necessary level, that is of course if you hair virgin from root to end. I suggest going to a salon that carries Kenra Guy Tang metallics. They are a permanent color as opposed to a semi, which most other silver or gray colors are. I do also suggest having them use Olaplex with your bleach to minimize damage. There is a part 3 take home treatment that you can use to maintain results. If you have anymore questions please let me know, the majority of the services I perform are fashion colors so I have a pretty good insight to address any concerns :)

You'd only need to lighten it a shade or two. The color of the pic her hair level isn't that light. I don't think you'd need to bleach to a white color unless you were wanting a silver.

I would do what Kathryn suggested. Try on a wig and see if you really like it on you first. thats probably good advice for anyone that's unsure about changing their haircolor. And you are the ideal scenario because you would easily lift to a 10. So I'd go for it :)
