I have money for only one of these palettes and I'm stuck on which one to get. I've heard both are amazing, but which is best??

I think it depends on what you want and what palettes you already own.
The Kat Von D palette is all matte and will work well with other palettes in terms of reating a lot of looks. And of cause it can be used on its own to create beautiful matte looks as well.
So if you don't already own a matte palette then this would be a great pick. On the other hand if you know you don't use matte colors very often then this palette wouldnt be for you.
And the same goes for the Naked 2. If you own a nother shimmery neutral palette then this one might be one to skip. On the other hand if you have a matte palette but is missing a shimmery palette to spice it up then the Naked 2 would be great for that. But if you know you almost never uses shimmery shadows then this palette wouldnt be for you.

I would steer away from the naked palettes. The quality of them isn't up to par compared to their single shadows. I would definitely go with the KVD palette. I have the shade light face palette and it's incredible

I love my Naked palettes. Very high quality (well 1,2, & 3 are; I don't like the others at all) I think it just depends on what you like. A lot of people don't like the Naked's because they say it doesn't offer enough mattes, I on the other hand don't really care about mattes as long as there are a couple in a palette, I would prefer having shimmers and glittery shadows over a boring matte all day. I have several high end palettes (several Too Faced, other Urban Decay palette besides all the Naked's, Smashbox, Lorac, Stila, Buxom, and one really old Kat Von D Palettes that they no longer make, Bare Minerals, Clinique, Tarte, and I'm probably forgetting something) and my Naked palettes are very high quality and something I easily turn to when I can't decide what look I want for the day.
So back to your question, I think it just depends on what you are wanting from a palette. I think Kat's palettes are lovely but its completely different than Naked 2. I think buying both palettes would be nice (even if you wait a while and not buy them at the same time) to own and would work together. I would personally go with the Naked 2 easily, but like I mentioned earlier, I don't care for mattes more.
Also one more thing, I've had my Naked 2 for a good two (almost three) years now and maybe the quality was better then, than it is now that they have gotten so popular? Just a thought, since I hear of so many complaining about the quality. All I know is my palette is extremely pigmented, no fallout, extremely easy to blend, and last all day...

I love the kvd palette as I love mattes. I use a shimmer shade here and there, but I like playing up my eyes and feel that I can create a dramatic look or a natural look and still achieve what I was going for :)
the naked palettes are nice, but don't quite offer what I wanted :)
all in all, like Sabrina said, it's up to you and what you want and personal preference
