Of everything, I'd say I'm a little new to contouring. How do you contour? What products? Step by step? Contour or foundation first?

I would definitely do your foundation first because it basically sets the base for your contour. If you did your contour first then the foundation would basically be covering up and evening out everything you just contoured.
For a dramatic look I usually take my nyx wonder stick and contour underneath my cheekbones, my jawline, and my temples of the forehead. I highlight underneath my eyes in a upside down triangle, center forehead, my chin, above my jaw but below my cheekbone contour, and the bridge of my nose. After blending that out with my beauty blender I set it all with translucent powder then go over the contour shades with my Lorac pro contour palette with the medium shade and go over the highlighted areas with the yellow highlight shade!
For a quick daytime look I just bronze up my face with the too faced chocolate soleil matte bronzer on my cheeks and temples. I lightly highlight my face with the ELF baked highlighter on the tops of my cheeks. :)

I know a lot of people aren't so crazy about the ABH cream contour palette but the more I use it the more it's becoming a staple in my makeup wardrobe. Since contour is all about illusion youll want to determine which features you want to minimize and which features you want to enhance. While it differs for each face shape it's pretty typical to shade the hollows of the cheeks, the jawline, and the hairline area to slim, chisel and detract attention from these features (and if you want to slim the nose shadow the edges on both sides while hiliting down the center) Then go in with your hilite in the under eye area, I like to use the lightest shade here, I like to use the rosier hilite on the cheekbone, hilighter underneath the shadow in your hollows, forehead area, Cupid's bow, basically anywhere you want to draw the eye to. I recommend blending with a bb until you feel more comfortable blending with a brush. I do set my cream contour with my powder contour but this is unnecessary (I like a very defined contour) just make sure to set it with a translucent powder if you want to skip this step. I do my contour over my foundation but I have seen many apply their cream contour underneath their foundation and the apply their powder contour on top of both the cream and foundation. Again, personal preference, sorry if this is a little long winded and if I missed something let me know! Remember to start off lightly you can always add more, if you want to find the best "map" for your face shape there are several great places online to find a guide, including Sephora :)
