Would curly hair suit me?

I am planning to get my hair curled permanently. Would it suit me?

I currently have chin length hair. It is thick but fine, so I try my hardest to get it straight usually and it is ultimately frustrating so I'm thinking of going with how it wants to be and just have it curled/permed.

Any thoughts?

I agree with Oemaira. It's going to be super short and perms can do a lot of damage to your hair. I've gotten it done 2x (years apart) and the second time it completely fried my hair. It took me a while to get it back to semi healthy... So I cut it off instead.
A question, what is your natural hair, straight? Wavy? Curly?

My natural hair is wavy. It will get curlier as I grow older thanks to my mum's genes hahaha.

I don't mind it getting shorter though.

I personally would never recommend a perm a lot of the time since they do so much damage they are frizzy and just never really look right plus the process isn't cheap and not fun.

I have natural curls...still its extreme dry and frizzy...need to deep conditioned everytime...still if you want to do it...thn grow your length a little then go for curl thing...otherwise it won't give you the effect you want and your face might look bigger...so long curl can be a good idea.

While perms have come along way they still leave a lot to be desired. While I'm sure you are envisioning a natural looking curl you won't find that in a perm. I really recommend considering a different style, embrace your wave and play around with a three barrel iron for a beachy look.
