I think you should go to a salon and get a professional opinion and if they think your hair isn't too damaged to get bleached then go for it! But by the way you described your hair I think you need to do a protein treatment and start deep conditioning weekly.

I agree with going to a professional! They have treatments like Olaplex that will help damaged hair. But honestly I recommend going back to your natural hair color for a bit to give it a break instead of trying to bleach it right now. That way you don't have to worry about your hair breaking or melting off practically, which would mean you would have to chop it all off. I would also recommend getting a trim too to help mend your hair...

Definitely would go against bleaching your hair especially if you can tell that your hair is very damaged. If you know your hair is damaged chances are a professional will tell you the same, even though I'd advise going to them for any further bleaching. Like the other girls mentioned I think you should do a little hair therapy first before you decide to put anything in your hair. Try some coconut oil as a treatment, or other deep conditioning treatments to rebuild your hair back up before you go at it with any chemicals cause even the blue could be fatal to your hair.

If you're hair is damaged and "gummy" feeling do not bleach it. Your hair will break off. Also if your hair is that damaged the only way to fix it is to cut off all of the damage. Coconut oil is not going to fix your hair. Coconut oil is a sealant and it's just going to seal in the moisture your hair already has. If you're hair has no moisture it's going to end up looking dry. Too much coconut oil isn't good either because it's hard to remove from the hair shaft and it prevents any moisture from penetrating it and thus making your hair constantly dry. You can do deep conditioning treatments and protein treatments but those only do so much, once the hair is damaged like that it's beyond repair. You can't rebuild your hair. My best advice is to go get a hair cut, lay off the chemicals and heat and get a good hair routine going to help get your hair in good shape again. Going to a professional to get it bleached won't be much help either, they'll tell you the same thing.
