What color lip sticks would be perfect for my skin tone?!

I just want opinions because I wanna wear lipstick and I don't wanna spend money on something that'll look really gross.. So I need opinions also, give me opinions on what brand I should buy. (:

If you're not used to wearing lipstick, you might want to start off with a sheerer lipstick. Loreal Riche Lip Balms are sheer but still have a decent amount of pigment. Some shades are more pigmented than others but a lot will let a little of your own lipcolor show through. I would suggest the pink shades. But if you're more daring you could try some of the plummy ones for fall. Kinda of a "day vampy" look, not the scary 'vampy" lipsticks that are all the rage right now. Not that there's anything wrong with that look. A specific color that comes to mind is NARS Dolce Vita. A nudy, pink with a hint of mauve. Its also sheer but it has a reputation of looking good on fair, light & medium skintones. Here are some of the Loreal Lip Balms.
