Unfortunately there's no way to fix it. Once it's damaged, its more susceptible to split ends, and if you don't cut them right away, they split up the hair shaft further causing more to be cut off at the time of a trim.
Unfortunately I'd just get the cut over with so you can start with less damaged hair and no split ends. In the long run you'll be cutting off less now than in the future.

Drench is a hydrating shampoo and conditioner by Sebastian, it works great. You can also do deep conditioning treatments. It's a 10 has a Miracle Masque, Sebastian's Penetrate is awesome as well.

I kinda had same problem 6 months ago when I got my hair colored. they were very damaged. I started oiling my hair with mustard oil with a tinch of castor oil in it. you can also add olive oil if you want. and apply it at night n leave it over night. it made my hair soft n shiny. you must do it every time you going to wash your hair but twice a week is ok. moreover, start using organic shampoo which is sulphate free.
goodluck!

I made the same mistake except I got a perm gone wrong (yikes lol) my hair has been dead for so long. I eventually cut it off to my shoulders and I started using raw shea butter conditioner which helped a little. I've found that the Aussie 3 minute miracle has helped the most surprisingly. I've noticed my hair starting to feel much softer. I use it as a regular shampoo rather than a deep conditioner. I wash my hair about twice a week now to try to let it get oily. Just wear it up when it gets oily but I definitely recommend washing it less and try the Aussie deep conditioner. I also use a balm by Aussie to slick the ends of my hair in. It helps it from looking dead when I straighten it. :) hope this helps!

Also if you're interested in trying clip in extensions I would definitely try it!! Pretty pricey but they come in handy when you're having to cut your hair short to get rid of dead ends. I got self conscious when my hair was super short so this helped a lot :)

I bleach my naturally black hair platinum.
The only treatment that has helped is the Aphogee two step treatment available at Sally's or on Amazon.
The first step is a protein liquid you use heat till it dries then rinse and put the ph-balanced moisturizing step for about 10 minutes I believe.
Works amazing, haven't had issues with breakage and my hair is stronger, smoother and easier to style.
Not straw-like how it was getting

I was a blonde last year, my hair got really damaged after I dyed it back brown. My hairdresser sold me a hair mask by "black light". It is honestly the best hair mask I have ever invested on, I used it about twice a week and my hair was fixed in about 2 months. It was more pricey but it definitely works. I'm sure you can find the product online
