Friend's prom makeup?

So my friend has asked me to do her eye makeup for our 6th form prom but I'm not sure what type of colour to use. She is wearing a dark blue dress (but wants to make it more suitable for summer with her makeup etc.) and she has fair-medium skin, blue eyes and blonde hair. I was thinking about a copper or pink or peach eye look but am unsure as her colouring is so different to mine. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks :)

For my prom I wore a dark blue dress and I went with a pink/rosey smokey eye using my naked 3 palette and I loved the way they went together. However, I am very fair so that may be a factor. Beforehand, play around with different looks with her to see what you both love!
