Soo I've read abit about people claiming that raw natural honey can brighten and lighten your natural eye colour...I'm not sure if this really is true or if it even works...
But I plan to lighten/brighte my eyes slightly- naturally, safely...
Has anyone on here tried it?
Is it really safe in your opinion?
Please share if you have any kinds of 'honey for eyes' experience Or your own personal opinion on this, would be veryyy helpful to know what you think :)
Yes- you can call me crazy too :D I respect everyone's perspective lol

I'm sorry if I sound stupid but putting honey in you're eye..?

This just sounds dangerous to me. If you really want light colored eyes, go visit an eye doctor and have them fit you for colored contacts.

The first couple of paragraphs of this suggest that you shouldn't do it http://www.skincareorg.com/eye-color/how-to-change-your-eye-color-with-honey/

From my perspective though, it just sounds dangerous and silly. Your eyes are incredibly delicate and you could risk losing your sight for something that might not even work. There are always other options, such as coloured contact lenses which you can get from an ophthalmologist.

No offense Jamie.D but contacts are also pretty bad they can damage you're vision if it's too hot or too cold.

If they're from an ophthalmologist, they're generally okay. They wouldn't allow contacts if they were dangerous. Contact lenses from an ophthalmologist are not like ones you buy online (such as cosplay contacts) and are properly suited to your eyes and the needs of your eyes. They're safe to wear.

I agree with these ladies, sounds absolutely ridiculous and very dangerous. I also agree that getting contacts from a licensed ophthalmologist would be better than contacts you buy online or in stores that sell them as "accessories". I've had those before and they're definitely not one size fits all, which is why those ones aren't safe.

I know in ancient Egypt they use raw honey to help prevent any eye infections and such.
Egyptian were also the first ones to use eyeliner (which actually helped protect their eyes from the sun)
Anywho, I've tried this, of course it's diluted with water. It does sting a tiny bit but nothing too serious. My eyes didn't feel as dry which is something I had an issue with before, my eyes have an issue of being dry.
I had asked my eye doctor about using diluted honey drops and he said it'd be okay just make sure it's diluted with filtered water.
Since my eyes aren't as dry, wearing my prescribed lenses is more comfortable and I don't have to use the eye drops for lenses much, if at all.
As far as the lightening claims... Uhmmm I don't think they "lighten" them per say. I mean my eye color seems a TINY bit brighter but that's all. They didn't get like a shade or even half a shade lighter. I feel it kinda just brought out the golden tone but they're still the same depth if that makes sense?

Also, buying contacts online isn't always bad. If you had an appointment with an ophthalmologist and they did a contact fitting you could ask for a copy of your prescription to buy contacts online that fit your prescription.
Like from a site like 1-800 contacts and many other places.

I agree this does sound quite dangerous for your eyes. I truly wouldn't chance the health of my eyes just to get them lighter. I think seeking out an ophthalmologist like what's been suggested would be best and just getting colored contacts.

Bella, no offense taken, that's why I was sure to mention in my response that she should see an eye doctor to get her eyes fitted to prevent any damage :)

Please don't go for anything that would damage your eyes.
