Manic Panic didn't work?

I've used Manic Panic before without any problems. But, the first time I didn't comb it through. This time I did and it didn't stick to my roots! Now only my tips are dyed SILVER! This time, I plan on leaving it in for 6 hours and not comb it through. This was so annoying. Does anyone have any other tips?

Yeah that tends to happen when you're using pastel kind of colours, I think putting it on and really just letting it sit on the hair is the best way for it to grab onto places instead of combing it. :) that's really the only thing I can think of, I always had that problem when I went lilac or pastel pink lol

Use an equalizing spray beforehand! You can buy one at sallys. It makes the hair equally as porous so colour develops evenly

Does anyone know if it's safe to dye over it with a more silver-ish dye? I barely have any dye left, but I have a Titanium Ion Brights I want to mix with conditioner to achieve a light silver all over.
