Hey everyone, I'm having a problem with really dry knees right now. I exfoliate and even use a loofah to scrub with the exfoliator still on. No matter how much lotion I put on, they never get any better. What can I do?

I like Philosophy Soul Owner Foot Cream. It's actually more of a treatment than a moisterizer. It has glycolic acid in it that will chemically exfoliate dry skin cells. It's more potent than other foot creams. And I suggest using it on your feet, elbows and knees ONLY. Once I got a little of it inbetween my toes where the skin is baby soft already , and it burned my skin, it was raw for a few days. After using this product nightly and when you get your skin where you want it, then don't use it everyday. You can then start maintaining it with a moisterizering body butter, but you can still use the Soul Owner maybe once or twice a week ad needed to maintain.

Maybe you should exfoliate less as well - sometimes depending on your skin type over exfoliation by physical means (something rough) can be too drying especially for sensitive or already dry skin types - and maybe try an oil like coconut oil or jojoba oil over your moisturizer to additional lock in moisture

After shaving, I exfoliate with a coconut oil and sugar mix. Then I use Eucarin lotion on them. I had terribly dry knees until I started that routine!

My knees were really dry and I exfoliated then I put Vaseline on them before I went to sleep or you can try to rub half a lemon in your knees (this also works for elbows)
