Is it safe to dye hair a third time?

Hello. I tried to achieve a silver color and turns out my hair wasn't light enough. I dyed it twice, once with Manic Panic and again with Ion Brights. I want to cover all of the color and since these colors are semi-permanet and didn't really latch on to my hair, is it safe to redye again with a darker dye by manic panic? Please help! How soon can I dye it again? I'm leaving for vacation Saturday morning.

I'd wait a while, honestly. Repeatedly dying your hair can cause major damage and it eventually can make your hair fall out. I'd wait at least a couple of months.

Do a deep conditioning treatment. I am guessing now your hair has silver, green and blonde tones. If so, you can use any dark semi permanent dye it won't damage your hair since it doesn't have any ammonia. I like ion brights more than manic panic. You could use, purple or blue.

If you want to get like a dark silver color you will have to be like platinum blonde or the highest blonde you can lift to. Because you have box dye already in it, it might be hard because I don't know how you would lift or what tones you might pull. Once you get to a blonde you can easily put the silver over but silver and platinum are really hard to get and maintain. I would suggest you go to a cosmetology school, they are cheaper than a salon and while they are students they have licensed teachers there to help.m

If your just using manic panic then yeah it's totally safe. manic panic is just a stain. it does not lift the hair or damage it. only deposits color and conditions.
