I came across this Refinery 29 article, it might be helpful for those that use the clarisonic brush. The picture is a section of the article and here is the link to the entire article.

Hahaha NO! It was worth every penny! I've have had one for 4 years now and I will never not have one. I actually purchased a new one last year because I was traveling a lot for work and achool, and didn't want to be without it. Overall though, it has transformed my skin. I actually have only not used it like two times because those times I forgot, my skin paid for it!
So yeah it is not overrated in my opinion.

Overrated? Not necessarily but I do think that in can be overdone as in, people using it too much and getting those side effects.
I've come across girls having issues with their skin being drier than usual and oily areas more oily then they tell me they use their clarisonic every morning and night and I'm just... So surprised that people don't realize there IS such a thing as over exfoliation

The Clarisonic is the best investment I've made for my skin. My skin has gone from very oily to much more normal because of the Clarisonic. I agree with Aurora that it can be overdone so it's trial and error at first to see when and how often to use it and with what brush head. I use the Sensitive brush head every night and I've never had any issues with it.

That article is bull. everyone's skin is different. some can only use every 3 days and some people need to ise a clarisonic every day. since I've been using my clarisonic (2 years ) my skin has cleared up, become more even in texture, absorbs product better and takes foundation and makeup beautifuly. I would 100% recomend the clarisonic.

BS. I have super oily skin. I use mine twice a day (with the Sonic Radiance brush head, which btw, is amazeballs & feels like plushy silk on your face) & have done so ever since I took it out of the box. I've never had any negative effects with my Clarisonic except for the brush heads I used to use (Sensitive was too rough, Delicate was on a lot of occasions). It has saved my skin. It doesn't feel clean when I don't use it. I don't know what I'll do if it ever breaks & I can't afford to run out & buy a new one the same day 😂 God forbid that ever happens!

I've heard the brush head harbours dirt/bacteria and you have to replace them regularity (I think the heads you have to replace every few months are about 25$) not sure how true the breakout causing part is because of the bacteria but what I do know is I got the foreo Luna mini(no need for the regular size it's just more expensive) is absolutely incredible I noticed a huge difference in my skin and it feels smoother better and got rid of my black heads, the silicone does not harbour bacteria AND you don't have to replace everything every few months it's a one time buy and you charge it every like 300 uses
