Morphe has several lines of brushes, 1 or 2 of them has brushes that are a bit cheaper than rt, and the quality is good.

Finding good quality brushes cheaper than RT is going to be a challenge. Mainly because imo, not one brand will make good quality brushes across the board. Eco Tools may make an eye brush you like, but you may not like their face brushes. Elf and Sonia Kashuk (she has different price ranges because she has 2 lines) makes some decent cheap brushes but not all are great. Morphe Brushes are great too, but some of their brushes are hit and miss as far as softness and shedding (except for Elite line, which are all amazing, but is their pricier line). Most people I know have favorite brushes from different lines. Are you looking for a particular brush for a specific need?

Sigma is more expensive than RT, but keep in mind that many artists will tell you that the quality of your brushes can matter more than the quality of your makeup. You can take a high quality brush and make cheap makeup look great. When I first started out I kept that in mind and I invested more in brushes than into makeup. Now that it's been a while and I've slowly built a good brush selection, I can go ahead and invest in higher quality makeup when necessary. (Drugstore brands can be great, don't get me wrong, but let's be real, who doesn't love the idea of expensive makeup right?) ITCosmetics also makes great brushes that aren't crazy expensive. I really hope I put that right and that it came across the right way. Everyone does things differently, it's just my two little cents!  :)

Marleen , Kathryn - ohhhh.. really! seems like finding set of brushes is a task.. but thanks a lot for sharing this knowledge because I still just learning about makeup and brushes and there role. I am actually looking for eye brushes and face brushes both. does brushes play a role in giving a full coverage? if yes then what acc. to you guys is best one after sigma?
kathryn - and yaa you are correct , I think I should better be investing in good brands only.. please suggest which one is good in terms of face ,eyes individually and still not crazily expensive.
Is RT beauty blender is the best?

Yes, brushes matter when it comes to coverage. You should only use synthetic brushes for liquids and cream foundations. Duo fiber brushes are better for sheer foundations, BB. creams and tinted moisterizers. The denser the brush, the better the coverage. Although some dense brushes have more give than others. I have several foundations brushes that I use. 3 of the 4 are Morphe. The Morphe M439 is a cult favorite. Its been compared to the Sigma F80, although I don't know if they have the same shape. The M439 is a great general foundation brush. Soft, dense, and has a short handle, so it has good control. Good for medium to full coverage. The Morphe E44, huge, soft, dense and has a little more give than the M439, so it gives a fuller coverage. And due to its size, softness, density and "give", it almost feels like using a beauty blender. You'll find yourself dabbing and pouncing it on your skin more than buffing. I describe this brush a brush/sponge hybrid. Good for bigger faces, or those who want to get your foundation on really fast and for drier skin, because you don't cause that micro exfoliation with a lot of a buffing. Smaller faces may not like it as much. It's a little heavy. The E7 is a dense but smaller angled brush. Good medium to full coverage and great for getting around the nose & temple areas. Also good for a general foundation brush for smaller faces. I also have a Sonia Kashuk dense short handled duo fiber kabuki but since I don't use sheer foundations , I found another use for it. I use it around my jawline & hairline where I really want to buff and blend out any demarcation lines.

You are welcome. I also have a Morphe Flat Top Kabuki and it's great also. But I think when it comes to FLAT TOP or ROUND TOP, it's just personal preference. I just happen to prefer round.
