Hey guys, I've been wanting to use liquid foundation and powder for occasions whenever me an Hubs go out somewhere like dinners or parties but he would rather I don't. I can't really try and get it myself because I use his money for things since he's the one who works and I stay home with the kids. I know his reasons for it but sometimes I would love to have that flawless look once in a while. So I was wondering if there may be anything I could use to substitute foundation for?

Some under eye corrector/concealer, which actually makes a big difference. From there you can work to see if you really want coverage on your skin... Whenever I do just my under eyes I don't really touch anything else.

Sorry to have a bit of a feminist rant but I really think that if you want to try wearing foundation you are absolutely entitled to go out and get it, I mean looking after the kids should really entitle you to half of his spending money and you should be able to do with that whatever you want!! and there are good drugstore foundations out there that really don't cost that much if you just want to try it out.
However, I find bb cream to be a good alternative to foundation and if I want to cover up a specific area like my nose, I use some concealer first and then bb cream over it to have the right colour outcome.

I'm also sorry, but I have to agree with Deborah on her feminist rant. I won't go further into detail, but as for your foundation substitute, I really enjoy using two concealers... One for under eye and one for blemishes. I like to have two different finishes which is why I use two, but what ever your preference is:) also I like to blend the concealer down with a beauty blender onto my cheeks to hide some redness. And this might be besides the point, but I have started to really amp up my skincare as well as drinking A LOT of water and I have noticed a huge difference in my skin. Barely use my foundation haha
Hope this helps :)

I too agree with Deborah on her feminist rant. Just because he works doesn't lessen your important role of being a mother. And he's got no business telling you how to spend money or what to do with your face. But enough about that...if I'm not in the mood for foundation I either buff a powder foundation on (the cover fx mineral one is great because it looks very natural and not dry matte) or just or concealer on the bad areas (ie pimples haha). But if you're struggling with redness then I would recommend bb cream as that will feel lighter, look more natural (depending on the bb cream), and still help you achieve a more even look.

Try BB or CC cream, maybe tinted moisturizer?

His earnings don't define how you get to look dear :-) but concealer is awesome for brightening and correcting
