Maybe you could use coconut oil before washing, leave it in for about half an hour. I use this too and it helped my hair a lot. When my hair was falling out I used a mixture of garlic and olive oil. Just cut the garlic and leave it in the olive oil for half an hour. Then apply it on your roots and leave it in for an hour. do this once a month, and don't go outside that day because the garlic smell is very intense. as for styling I don't have any tips. I wish I had your curls they're so beautiful.

Girl, I gotchu lol. This is my lifelong struggle right here. A few months ago I got a DevaCut and some excellent advice from the stylist, and it changed my life! Getting a haircut that was done by cutting it dry, curl by curl, is just... it's one of those "duh" moments, like "this is genius, why haven't I been doing this my whole life?" So if you can afford it, definitely get a DevaCut! Secondly, she finally got me to stop washing my hair every day, by telling me to just scrub the sh*t out of my scalp and roots when I do shampoo, and it's made my hair much more manageable and voluminous. Basically she said "think of the way a stylist scrubs your scalp when you're getting your hair done, and do that at home." So I do that, and use dry shampoo in between washes, which is REALLY good for adding volume. As for damage, aside from cutting off the ends, I'd also recommend using a deep conditioning masque 2-3x a week, leaving it on at least 10 minutes. And try to not rough up your hair! So, dry it with a t shirt instead of a towel, finger-comb rather than combing/brushing, diffuse on the cool/low setting rather than the hot/high setting, etc. And if you can get your hands on one of the DevaCurl styling gels, it will change your life. They're water activated, and conditioning. So you can put it in right after the shower, scrunch the gel into your hair, diffuse/air dry, and then when it's dry you lightly scrunch your curls again to break the gel cast, and your curls will be so big and springy and soft. And I have stopped needing hairspray all together, this stuff is that good. I hope some of this helps!
