Well, I'm not crazy about it. I don't get the hype about it. I don't know if I'm too dark for it but it just doesn't look good on me. Well, I was digging around my of makeup drawer and came across an old palette with a highlighter in it that is way better than Mary Lou Manizer, at least for my skintone, (golden medium with a touch of olive). It's Still KITTEN. I know it's been around for years not to mention the eyeshadow Kitten. I heavily swatched (4 heavy swipes) of Lou Manizer (on right) and ONE medium swipe of KITTEN. (on left) You be the judge! Don't think this palette is available anymore, but I'm pretty sure KITTEN is still available.

I'm not a fan of Mary lou on myself so I understand lol but I've seen it work on other's. Stila Kitten is beautiful for sure. I had a little fun comparing Becca Champagne Pop to Wet n wild Fergie highlighters Hollywood Boulevard a while ago when my daughter friend brought over her Becca CP.I swatched them both side by side. :)

I love mary loumanizer. I works awesome on my cool, fair skin. I do love kitten as an eyeshadow but as a hilighter it pulls very warm on me.

I think it's a nice color - but I didn't care for it personally on myself! I think highlighters are just personal preference, but I do agree that it is a bit hyped up!

Kelly, yes. That's probably why I like the KITTEN better because of my warm golden medium skintone. Also, Kitty, I posted another post on the new HOURGLASS Strobe (Highlighters ). You may want to check it out.

Marleen are you not able to see my comment?

Alma, yes. Those are gorg! I'm afraid I'm a sucker for highlighters. Not necessarily because I like glowing skin (although I do like it). I started off using them to offset my dry skin. That's why I like the subtle highlighters as well as the intense ones, so I can use them all over my face, not just on the highpoints.

Oh good. I asked because I want to make sure no glitch is going on. I found your thread down in the thread mist so I brought it up and commented so that it gets seen by other's here. I love highlighters, radiance and glow product's if anything that's my makeup obsession so I totally understand. :)
Have you purchased Laura Geller Ballerina Rose Gold yet? I'm so hooked on that one.

Alma, I have Gilded Honey but I don't have Ballerina. I was debating about it but didn't get it. I'm glad though, because I got a Laura Geller Kit for $49. It has her new powder foundation, her mascara primer, her new lip oil tint, a travel size brush and her new ROSE GLOW (not Ballerina) allover highlighter. All the products I mentioned are new & exclusive to Qvc right now, but I'm sure will hit the stores soon. The highlighter is twice the size of Gilded Honey & Ballerina. Still playing with products right now.

Omg! No, I haven't even heard about them. But I just Google it. Is it a cream?

Jan 15, 2016

Alma M.

Yes it's a multi cream that's what neat about it you could use on eyes, cheeks, highlight and lips. I could swatch it for you if you want?

That one on the left looks like my Bobbi Brown Pink Glow, which is one of my favorites because it has that wet look.

I love it for me but to my understanding I think it suits fairer skin tones better

Jessica, I agree.

I haven't tried that one yet but now you got me curious about Pink Glow.

Bobbi Brown Pink Glow is a beigey pink shade. But it is a mosaic, so it has some white swirling through it. The first time I bought this, there was almost 50% white and 50% pink. And it came off too white and frosty on my skin. So I went back to exchange it. It's a mosaic, so every one is different. When I went back to exchange it, I made sure to open it up and made sure I had more pink than white.

That's pretty, would that compare to the finish of the Bobbi brown finishing powder? I have that one in bronze gold.

Jan 15, 2016

Marleen B.

It is the same as the Bronze Glow Highlighting Powder. That's what the packaging says, HIGHLIGHTING, not FINISHING. Here's a pic. These highlighters were released as a twosome. What I mean is, that when they released these particular highlighters, there were only TWO choices. Pink Glow & Bronze Glow.

Oh see I have the brightening finishing powder which is similar to a hour glass powder finish but can be used as a overlay for highlighting, blush or shadow and of course all over. :)
