I swear by apple cider vinegar! I get a short glass, mix equal amount of the vinegar and water (however much will cover the head of the brush fully) add a could squirts of dishwashing liquid, mix, put the brushes in there to soak for five minutes, then swirl each individual brush around in there to get the nasty makeup off (the water will turn an awful colour but it's so satisfying to see!). I repeat this again with a clean mixture, then rise the brushes with water and leave them to dry! It's fantastic, and antibacterial too I think!

Paul Mitchell's tea tree oil shampoo and then Super Skinny to hydrate and condition them. also cuts the drying time in half!

Jacqueline H. on here turned me on to the London Brush Company solid shampoos (sold here on BL) and I've never looked back. It's amazing stuff; my brushes feel super soft afterward and it leaves no residue or anything like that.

Bailee- so you apply the p.m. super skinny serum to your brushes you use on your face?
I am super sensitive to silicone and would be scared his would cause a major breakout for me. Any other suggestions for brush conditioning products sans silicone?

1 part olive oil, 1 part shampoo/hand soap

Cinema secrets cleaner
Beauty blender solid

Also, you should never clean your brushes with alcohol. If your brushes are actual hair the alcohol will just dry them up and ruin them
Alcohol is more to kill germs before use not for a deep clean

I use one part olive oil and one part baby shampoo. I massage it onto my dampened brushes then rinse and repeat!
