Is the ABH contour kit worth investing in or should I use a matte bronzer to sculp my cheekbones? I was told by some that it's ok to use matte bronzer for contouring while some say that it's a bad idea.

Personally I think the ABH kits are too warm to contour with, which is also the problem with bronzer as it's meant to add a sun kissed look to the skin rather than create a shadow. For a kit I would suggest the Kat Von D Shade + Light Contour Palette. The shade Sombre in that palette is perfect for contouring as it's matte and cool toned so it creates a more realistic shadow look (:

It all also depends on your skin tone too. I think contouring kits are kind of a waste of product, since you won't need every single color for your skin. Some people can get away with contouring with a matte bronzer, as I know a lot of people us Benefit Hoola or Too Faced Chocolate Soleil. I've tried those on my skintone and I wasn't really a fan. I recently started using Mac Sculpt with NYX Taupe to deepen it, and I have been loving that combo! Mac Sculpt is only a pro item, but you can get it online. And NYX Taupe you can get online or at Ulta!

All I can really say it depends on your skin tone.

Mmmm tbh I just recently got it and I only use 3 shades...the middle bronzer cause the other shades are EXTREMELY ORANGE the bannana one and the pinky nude one...to brighten my eyes...

But! I don't think getting the kit is worth it..if its possible to get like the shades you want by themselves then donit.

One pro of the Anastasia contour kit is that you can purchase refills or specific shades you want (for $14 each) on their website. However, I have never been able to justify the purchase based on the fact that the product contains parabans. If I'm going to splurge on an item I want to know that the company is using the best ingredients available. Kat Von D shade and light palette and Tarte Tartist Contour palette are around the same price range and do not contain parabans. The Kat Von D palette is supposed to be coming out with contour powder refills this year and are a known cult favorite.
