You could try using sone oils like argon oil and not washing it as much :)

Get a deep conditioning. Coconut oil only works as a top coat for the hair it doesn't sink in to moisturizer it so try a deep conditioning every two weeks or so and your hair should feel better

I prefer argan oil as a leave in treatment mine is Pro Naturals, can't stand coconut oil it takes forever to wash out of my hair and I keep associating it with curry!
