So my prom is coming up in a few short months and I want to do some research on higher end foundations and powders for prom and taking pictures. I don't want anything crazy expensive. Any recommendations? I have very oily skin.

Definitely invest in a good primer to combat your oily skin. I recommend Hourglass Veil Mineral primer, MUFE Mattifying Primer (if you have extremely oily skin). Also consider checking out MUFE Mat Velvet + and I heard MUFE HD is supposed to be good for photo's.

I was looking for a good foundation that photographs well and I got a sample of the MUFE HD foundation and it photographs beautifully! I would definitely recommend it.

For oily skin I definitely recommend MUFE mattifying primer and the HD foundation (old formula, I haven't tried the new) and be careful with the translucent powder you use. I believe RCMA colorless powder is a good setting powder. Jacqueline is the person to ask she knows exactly what to use :)

Not sure about foundation, but I can tell you the Korean brand Inissfree makes an inexpensive and fantastic powder. It's called zero sebum powder, I believe I got it on Amazon for around $6. It will absolutely help with the oiliness. I put it on my t zone and it keeps it from greasing up all day.

There's the RCMA foundation, MUFE HD Foundation, MAC Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof foundation as well.
As for powders I personally like the Palladio Rice powder, Ben Nye setting powders and the MAC Studio Fix powder.
I haven't had an issue with any of these giving flashback

This is why I love Beautylish. Jacqueline you are SO knowledgeable, it's like being able to learn things you would learn in a makeup academy without going to academy. I love it. You just taught me a few things about HD formulas and RCMA. I always thought RCMA foundation was supposed to be matte, maybe I've been using too much of it. You rock! Thanks!
