Hi Beauties!
I recently took the dive and dyed my hair red, and it came out really great!
Except for this one part.
My roots match the end of my hair perfectly but right in the middle shaft my hair instead of red is like this muddy brown, like a badly faded red. Granted all together it doesn't look THAT bad, but I still think it's pretty terrible.
Any ideas on how to help me even the color out and be rid of the brown?

Did you dye your hair all at one time?
Usually the roots will dye better because it's virgin hair and closer to the scalp (the heat usually helps it color better)
And the ends could have just been a tad lighter which is why they got colored better too.
If you had your hair previously colored than that could be why.
If that's the case, use a color stripper on the shaft. You want to get the dye out from the last time you colored it. Then tone and go ahead and color it the color you're wanting to go.
If you didn't previously dye your hair then just color the shaft again which usually works especially if it's one of those dyes for dark hair

Oh, sometimes color is darker in areas because it was left too long with that areas porosity so it may just have too much dye on it and can be washed out after a few washes so I'd just wash your hair and see how that works beforehand

Thanks! I used a color stripper, and I think it's just one of those cases where the porosity of my hair just takes really dark to dye now because it's been dyed so much but using the color stripper worked
