Hi! I have naturally dark brown, which I recently dyed 'permanently' a deep/dark violet red shade at a salon. The color was subtle yet noticeable, especially in different lights.
However, after less than a week, my hair color has faded. Though my hair still has violet-red tones, it's barely noticeable, you have to really hold it up in the light to see it. Now it just looks like a different shade of dark brown, but with some hints of purple.
I'm so confused as to why this has happened, especially as I have yet to wash my hair, I've been protecting my hair in the day and at night with a scarf/hat, and have only used a bit of hair honey, no other product. I did pass a straightener through it, but about 3 days after and I spritzed a lot of heat protector beforehand. The color looked great after I straightened it; two days later, it looked dull.
Some background--my hair is naturally very curly and a dark, dark brown. It was bleached once, then dyed twice. This was all done at a salon.
Thoughts??
Thank you!!

A lighter/medium shade of brown. It definitely wasn't bleached to a blonde. After belached, my hair was a bit darker than this shade: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/db/f3/19/dbf31948b7428b3f3f87a07265bd647f.jpg

Okay, at least I know I'm not the only one. :( Wondering what I could possibly do to better last the color between washes or what I could ask the hairdresser to do differently at my touch-up apt.
