Hi all! I burnt myself with toothpaste about 18 days ago and want to know if it will leave a scar or not. The dry brown scab came of in the second week itself, but left a light pink patch beneath it. The pink circle turned into dark brown over time. I have put aloe vera gel and coconut oil on it and the patch has lightened into light brown now, but it's still visible. Will this leave a scar? What else should I do to get rid of the circle, patch-ish thing?

Buy some scar gel and put that on it to prevent it from becoming a scar and you can buy a vitamin c serum to lighten the spot also.

I burned myself with toothpaste as well once trying to get rid of a pimple overnight (stupid internet myths) lol It was pretty bad but fortunately it did not leave me a scar! I agree with Sophia though, apply some scar gel just to be safe (:

Wear sunscreen everyday to prevent excessive pigment production.
