Are getting individual lashes/ eyelash extensions put on worth it? And are they hard to maintain?

Worth it is different for every body. I'm a licensed esthetician and lash artist and have them on myself and they're so addicting. the most important thing is to find someone reputable and know what questions to ask. Make sure they aren't using clusters. It should be one on one application one extension to one natural lash. Ask where they got certified and make sure they are also licensed. Ask to see pictures. Make sure their work area is sterile. Make sure they aren't using any lashes too long or heavy for your NL (natural lash). Make sure they carry.15s I don't carry.20s I feel they're too heavy for 99.9% of clients and it's not worth the risk. To maintain them
don't get them wet for 12 to 14 hours
avoid saunas steam rooms etc.brush them with a clean spoolie every day
avoid oil based products on or around the eye area
cleanse them daily I suggest image ormedic cleanser to my clients
obviously don't pick or pull at them
They're quite easy to take care of just make sure when your extensions shed that you make sure there aren't more than one glued to each other unless you paid for volume application
