i use dove curling mousse in extreme hold. i love it!!! keeps curls in all day and all day the day after!! and i have really thick hair!!

S-factor hair spray smells so good and makes your hair feel shiny and soft. Spray some on a paddle brush and brush into your hair than give it some time to dry than curl.

Okay. Depends for me what kind of curler. My hair will not hold a curl when I use a curler with a clamp. I use a Remington pearl wand and it holds my curls until I want to take a shower. Try the Remington pearl wand! I don't know a single person that wand hasn't worked on. And it's around $25-30 maybe cheaper

I bought a YouCurl wand by Conair at my local drugstore. My hair doesn't usually like to hold any curl without a ton of hairspray and even then it leaves it all stiff. With the YouCurl I only use a heat protector spray and the curls look amazing and stay until I shower. It was pretty cheap too. A good investment in my opinion :)

Also depends on the technique you're using to curl. Some hair types won't hold the "clamp, slide to ends, curl all the way up" deal. If you clamp at the base of the hair section and rotate it in place it'll give a stronger hold to the curl. Use a heat protecting spray with hold and spray each section with hairspray while its still hot.

this isn't really a tip but were you born with curly hair? i was and it turned straight eventually and it will not curl or hold a curl. Maybe try no heat curls. look it up on YouTube hope it helps
