Hey guys! So I used hair removal cream for the first time ( nair) and after only 5 minutes it started to burn, I thought this was normal so left it on an extra 2 minutes and now my inner elbows are sore and burnt... Is it a good idea to put any lotions or creams on it or just let it settle a little?? Thanks guys!

Oh no! I would rinse thoroughly with cold water, and then I definitely think a lotion would be a good idea, but make sure it's fragrance and alcohol free, and I would spot test first. Put a small amount on a small area, and if it seems to not react after maybe 10 minutes, then you could apply it lightly on the burn. However, now that I'm thinking about it, something like Neosporin or an antibacterial cream might be better because lotion and creams can trap bacteria. :) Hope you heal soon!

I would suggest using aloe vera instead of just lotion.

What you need to do is treat it like a chemical burn - so you shouldn't put anything on it - you will just be adding more chemicals to the area and could cause an infection - you need to wrap the area with sterile gauze to prevent infection and wash the area with lukewarm water daily (no soap or anything else just running water for 20 minutes) and you should read the packaging for what to do when you feel a burning sensation and follow the instructions - if it says to call a doctor then do that and see a doctor - chemical burns can be tricky if you don't know exactly what chemical is causing the burn - even if it's minor you will want to see a doctor to ensure its not infected.

Here is an article on treating burns from hair removal creams: http://www.livestrong.com/article/136023-how-treat-burns-from-cream-hair-removers/
They suggest using an antibiotic ointment or even an analgesic gel to help with pain but definitely wrap it in gauze to prevent infection

That happened to me, I've got sensitive skin. Try using hair removal cream for sensitive skin

The ladies already explained what to do so the only thing I have to offer is that you should try using Veet instead of Nair, it's so much better
