I have been to every tanning salon around. Everything from total tan to someone who hand sprays you. The best result I have had was with the hand spray, but it's expensive and far away from me. Also, the tan never came off smooth... No matter how much I would exfoliate, it always looked like I had a skin disease after 3 days,
So I have been looking into self tanners. I really want to try a foam/mousse style. The three brands I'm looking into are St. Tropez, Loving Tan, and Bondi Sands. I have heard wonderful things about all of them but would like to hear your opinions!
Here's what I want to know:
Your opinion on the three brands listed above or just your favorite self tanner even if it's not one of those brands
How dark the color is, after the guide color is washed off
How long the tan wears
Your favorite way to apply it
Basically, all the pros and cons of self tanners!

I wear the Bondi Sands in light and it gives a decent amount of colour! The undertone is a green colour and not orange. I have used the liquid, the mousse and their new liquid gold oil and honestly the mousse is the best in my opinion as it applies better and easier. I use either a tanning mitt or disposable gloves.
The tan last 7 days if you moisturise (sometimes more) and I have also found if you apply the liquid gold tanning oil over the top every couple of days then it continues to look flawless and last ages!!
For me it wears of evenly except for on my feet.. Looks very patchy on my feet after a while but doesn't bother me.
I have tried the dark version but it was wayyyyy too dark for me. But with the light, you can always layer it and make it darker (even though 1 or 2 layers is plenty dark enough)
Hope this helped!!

Oh and the liquid was good but I didnt like the runny consistency and found it "harder" to deal with. And the liquid gold tanning oil is beautiful but when applying it, you cannot see AT ALL where you have applied it. It has no guidance colour whatsoever... But it did dry like instantly which was friggin awesome!! Unlike the others where you walk around naked for 30 mins haha.

I love st tropez, it's one of the only self tanners that doesn't come out an orangey colour, it goes a nice golden brown. I would recommend using the st tropez gradual tan moisturiser, you can get it for about £2 - £4. when you apply it, it has like a guide colour in which is really dark so the tan appears dark but this is just a colourant in the tan so that you know that you've covered everywhere. apply it with a mitt and then leave it over night. the next morning when you go in the shower the guide colour washes off and underneath the moisturiser has built up a gradual tan on your skin.

It dries really quickly too! but not too quickly that you don't have enough time to buff it in.

This isn't any of the three brands, but I use this stuff called body nutritive serum, they have an indoor tanning lotion that's really used for tanning beds but can be used as a moisturizer which is what I do... It gives off a decent amount of color and doesn't make you look orange, and it's all natural... I had a similar problem as I have very fair skin that doesn't tan much. I've also tried jergens bronzing mousse which worked pretty well but I do love the moisturizer. :)

Kel, I have another question for you! Do you have a hard time matching your foundation because of the green undertone? And do you have a foundation to recommend as far as color match is concerned?

I have used both loving tan and Bondi sands , and I think loving tan is quite hard to blend in and more of an orange colour and a lot more expensive then Bondi sands , Bondi sand gives you more of a olive fake tan with the green under tone which is really good so you don't go orange I use the dark foam and is super easy to blend and I usually use two coats because I love to look tan. & also I think the smell of Bondi sands is a lot more nicer :)

Use coco and coconut oil and apply to skin.

Or use jergens. Both for a more natural tan while still looking bronzy
