Hi guys my coworker wants me to do her makeup next Monday. Problem is I've never done makeup on others before. I think I got everything down except she has not that much eyebrows. So how can I fake eyebrows on her without making it look unnatural? Like I want to be able to fake it like she actually has natural eyebrow hairs. Should I use dipbrow or should I use brow powder?

I think brow powder would look softer and more natural than dipbrow!

I personally think you should use a combination of both, brow powder has a very soft texture which can easily make your eyebrows become this one blurry block on your face. Using only pencil all over very sparse brows can lead to a harsh look if you're using a darker colour and can take quite a while as well. I suggest using the pencil to draw hair like strokes and using the powder to then fill in the rest of the empty spots to create the most natural look.

I meant using both a pencil/dipbrow and a powder^^^

I'd use a mix of both and a very thin angled brush to mimic hairs. If you want to watch a tutorial, watch @krystalclearmakeup on instagram, her brow tutorials are fantastic

You can keep the underline of the brows a bit harsh with the dipbrow and make very thin strokes downwards from the top of the brow in the direction the hair grows while leaving spaces in between with the dipbrow. And then fill in the frontal part of the brow with powder so it is like a gradient effect. its good to leave some small gaps in the brows because it looks more natural that way. I suggest you look at claire marshalls brow tutorial on youtube!:)

I don't know about anyone else but I personally have like no eyebrows to begin with and the only way I've found product really sticks to the sparse places is if I use brow wax and a powder on top.

Thanks everyone! I actually have a ABH eyebrow kit that I rarely use that includes a brow wax and a duo brow powder I think it would be perfect for her.
@hailey her brows are actually not thin, they are just sparse. I guess I will try brow wax on her.

All of the above tips are great and you could also use eyebrow stencils to help guide you.. Just another option to add.

@FF yup I have eyebrow stencils as well but they usually end up looking weird because they don't fit the person's eyebrow shape.

You could use a very small eyeliner brush with the abh dipbrow and draw individual hairs to fill in the eyebrow and make it appear more natural. I know that my abh dipbrow has gotten tackier over time so mix in a drop of argan oil so that it glides on smoothly.
