Darker shades, or something very bold and contrasting. :) don't go for neutral shades or something that blends too well with your skin, because that would make your eyes appear much smaller :)

Gold does work very well. I use gold a lot now. Get the baked gold by milani, apply it wet. It work amazing!! Pair it with black eyeliner on bottom. And a light shimmer(milani makes an awesome one). Ur eyes will glow!

When you go OPPOSITE colors than your eyes it makes the colors in your eyes pip against the shadow color. So greens have golden and/or brown flecks sometimes, so a pearly sheen gold color is a great color to use alone or to accentuate any shadow color used. Purples contrast well, and using 2-3 shades gives you some creative fun even using neutrals. Line the inside bottom lash line with a bold green, and keep the shadow simple with a pearly Champagne and even a touch of Sage in the crease and black mascara- Bam gorgeous eyes! And don't forget - green! :)
