I use Beauty So Clean Sanitizing Mist. It's sold here on Beautylish. It's a spray that combines sanitizing agents with emollients in order to disinfect your makeup without altering the surface. The spray does not affect the surface of the product nor does it alter the color. It removes bacteria and germs on powders: shadows, blushers, pressed powders, bronzers, cream-based products: compact foundation, concealers, cream blush/eye shadows.
In order to sanitize a product, at least 70% of the cleaner must be a sanitizing agent. The most common agent is alcohol. Bleach is also used sometimes, however, I wouldn't go spraying bleach on my shadows... not if I want to keep the color. ;) This spray is comprised of Ethyl alcohol, Isopropyl myristate, and a few emulsifiers which is what makes it such a great product. All you do is hold the spray 6 inches from whatever product you want to sanitize and spray the surface once... That's all there is to it. I have the 8 ounze size and that runs about $25. Smaller, travel size misters are available for about $12. It's a great product that will save you loads of time and money on boxes of Kleenex tissue. :)
