I'm going to get my brows threaded for the first time tomorrow, and I also want to tint my brows myself, which I have never done before either lol. I have naturally full/dark brows and I really haven't found any brow makeup I LOVE. I feel like it's an extra step I could avoid if I just tint.
Do you guys have any tips on tinting at home? Any brand preferences?
Also - does threading hurt? My cousin keeps telling me it feels like needles and quite frankly it's freaking me out -_-

I have no experience with tinting, but I do love getting my brows threaded. Its not painful, and I love that it doesn't irritate the skin around, well at least for me. I prefer threading over waxing or plucking.
Good luck! (:

If you're used to plucking then threading is no problem. The only part that hurts to me is under the eyebrow and on the upper eyelid.

I tint my own brows, for the first time I ever did it, I went to Rite Aid and got a box for $10 and now that I have practice I buy the more expensive one from Sally's Beauty. Saves me time every morning, also now that summer is around you can go swimming and always have perfect brows! 😊 definitely worth it.

Thank you ladies! @Jasmine @Mimi @Liz
You helped ease my nerves.
@Mimi - do you have any tips for tinting?

Never pluck/wax/thread beforehand, use Vaseline around your brow so it doesn't stain skin, it will be darker the first few days so be sure to wash brows thoroughly 24 hrs after. Remember you can always go darker but it's much harder to go lighter so less is more if you're uneasy!

I've recently started tinting my brows and lashes at home and I'm pretty happy with the results. I feel like it definitely lasts longer on my lashes compared to my brows however right now I'm trying to grow my brows back so I find tinting them as the hairs come in helps me figure out what shape they're growing into and where I should be plucking them, I find it much easier to fill my eyebrows in when they're tinted compared to when they aren't and it really isn't hard to apply, I use my normal angled brow brush I'd use daily instead of the spoolie just to make it a bit more precise and apply it where you'd normally apply brow makeup :) the tint kits usually come with a spoolie for tinting your lashes though. I use the 1000 hour brand in dark brown, it says it lasts 6 weeks before you need to do it again and I feel like that's pretty accurate.
