What Is The Best Kind Of Mascara.

I'm trying to find a mascara that makes my eyelashes look longer and thicker. I have pretty short eyelashes naturally and the mascaras I usually use are either Maybelline Falsies or the Clinique High Impact Extreme Volume mascaras... any opinions?

Following! I actually really love L'Oreals Butterfly Waterproof but I feel like they have reformulated it because it has been flaking really bad, and I didn't use to have such a problem with it.

Now as far as mascaras thanI know I don't like and don't recommend would be, Too Faced Better Than Sex, Smashbox, and Tarte (I've tried all of Tartes too).

Do you use a lash primer? I absolutely love the Butter London lash primer, and use it with the Tarte lights camera splashes mascara.
I got a sample of the NYX new lash primer and mascara. It wasn't too bad, but it is a 3 step process. Yet the cost would is cheaper. I didn't care for how wet the NYX mascara was. Tarte is a bit on the dryer side,yet I get no flaking and can even shower without it running  :)

I love Benefit's They're Real mascara. It is pretty expensive ($24) but I love it. The brush is so great and it gets rid of clumps.

I like Urban Decay Perversion for volume and length for everyday :) for a good curl look for Lancome Hypnose Drama and if you want crazy length and hold the curl aaaaaall day, Covergirl Super Sizer is THE option.

I use The Rocket (water proof) mascara by Mabeline. It gives curl (without a lash curler even) and volume+length, I would be careful on the bottom lashes though because sometimes it will smudge on the lower lashes but other than that it's a pretty good mascara in my opinion.

Lancôme's Hypnose Drama mascara is honestly one of the best I've tried! It volumizes and lengthens tremendously without leaving your lashes looking clumpy or messy at all; perfect for bottom lashes as well, as it is smudge proof :)

@Monica, I really wanted to like their mascaras because I love the overall products from Tarte, but I always left feeling disappointed with their mascaras. I felt like they were very dry and made them spiky, clumpy, or just made my lashes look like I didn't curl them. There was one I tried that wasn't "bad" but I didn't love it enough to continue want to use it and I definitely didn't want to buy the full size.

I'd check out the Physicians Formula Lash extensions kit.
It's basically one of those two step products and it comes with a small tube that has fibers

The Clinique High Impact Extreme Volume is amazing, but over time it dried out my eyelashes and made them fall out. Personally, I absolutely adore Essence mascara's. You get them at Ulta for a very reasonable price and they make me look like I'm wearing false eyelashes. Also I've been using them for years and have had no problems with my eyelashes falling out.

Currently I'm using Essence Lash Princess. It's absolutely amazing and my eyes look gorgeous after one coat. I highly recommend

Oh, I love the Tarte too; it's a favorite, but I save that for waterproof needs..often using the Splashes formula as a final coat. For daily use, I currently reach for my Maybelline Lash Sensational or Covergirl.
That Lash Sensational formula is so impressive.
