This may be obvious, but I'm actually not really sure! How do you use a liquid illuminator? Would you use it all over your face, as in mixed in with your foundation, or under it, or something like that; or do you just apply it in certain spots, like the apples of the cheeks/bridge of the nose, etc. like you would a powder or cream highlighter. And when I say liquid illuminator, I mean something like the NARS illuminators, or the Becca Shimmering Skin ones, or whichever brand! Thanks!!

The ways you've mentioned are all ways that you can use your liquid Illuminator. There's really no right or wrong way to use it. Personally, because I have oily skin, I apply it to the tops of my cheekbones, down the nose, and the Cupid's bow under my foundation that way I look glowy/lit from within without looking oily/greasy (:

Thanks Alexis!! I was thinking as with anything makeup there's no right or wrong really, but wasn't really sure! :)

Yes, as Alexis said, all of them are possible uses for liquid illuminators :) I always encourage people to try and experiment to find out what works best for them ;)
I personally don't love the super matte skin, but I do like oil-free makeup for the summer, so I add a few drops to the foundation to make it more glowy :) if you want to try this, I'd suggest getting a subtle illuminator with not a lot of sparkle, like NARS Hot Sand, or Armani's n7.
Which one do you have/are you thinking on getting? Let us know how you end up using it ;)

I have the nars copacabana illuminator and I dab a bit on usual highlight spots, and then I mix a bit in with my foundation and go over my whole face.

I was thinking of going with Nars! So I'll definitely have to check out what they have :) will the glow actually show up if I mix it in with my foundation Mar and Alyx? Never tried it before with theirs and just really want to know if it'll make a slight but noticeable difference

Yeah! That also depends on which one you get. Hot Sand is way more subtle than Copacabana. I'm not sure what kind of glow you are going for, so maybe you can get a sample and try them out see which one you like best ;)

Good idea! I'll definitely try to get samples. I feel like I'll probably like Copacabana.
