I had recently been to my dermatologist for a facial. She asked what makeup products I used in my face. I told her, and she bluntly told me stop using MAC powders and foundations. The eye shadows are fine. But the skin products like powders and foundations are TERRIBLE for your skin and can cause acne problems and other skin problems if you used them. I've since stopped using those products (except for eye shadows) and have seen my skin clear up. I only have to use a lose powder from Korres for coverage.

Really? Oh damn I've recently broke out and I was hoping it wasn't down to my beloved mac stuio fix! I love the powder, never had any problems with that before.

The reason why peeps seem to break out w Mac foundations is because most their foundation are heavier and they stay better than reg foundations but peeps don't do a great job at cleaning all the foundation off at the end of the day which = to clogged pores and acne ;/ I've been using Mac for the last 5 yrs and haven't ha any product on my skin and I have sensitive skin and I use the Mac Pro long wear for the last 2 yrs , but I do have a night regimen that I never skip ;) hope this helps !

It Neva occurred to me that studio fix could cause acne.. I love this foundation but use it lightly.. I rely on my concealers for the most part u should try that.. Gives more natural look but coverage at the same time.

Osiris, thank you for pointing that out!! Anything can cause skin problems for anyone if they aren't caring for their skin properly.

I stopped using MAC studio fix because it dried out my skin. You also my want to make sure you replace or wash your applicator sponge frequently to prevent bacteria from transfering on to your skin and cause breakouts.
