What kind of skin do you have? I really recommend using CeraVe. They have a dry to normal cleanser and a oily to normal. They are amazing. Also I like using jojoba oil mixed with different essential oils based on your skin.

Apart from products, using a towel for my face alone helped me

Before I say all this let me just emphasise that skin care is very personal. but if all else has failed have you tried going all natural? I tried so many different brands and products and ended up getting better results just going simple (ish). my skin is so finnicky that even cerave and cetaphil, which the dermatologist recommended, gave me little bumps and worsened the breakouts on the fold of my chin. I can only tell you what worked for me. exfoliation is important because acne forms when dead skin cells sit over gunk on the face. so you wanna get rid of the skin cells trapping the bacteria. I just use a muslin cloth but some people need a chemical exfoliant as well to melt the dead cells off.
I've been using a gentle face wash from lather for a good couple months now because my skin reacts well to it. it doesn't have any sulfates and even contains rosemary which I've come to be fond of. I tone with a mix of rosewater and witch hazel because they balance each other out and I have dry skin with flakes and all that gets oily throughout the day. and then while my skin is still damp from the toner I use an essential oil mix. at first I was using rosehip seed oil, tea tree oil, and rosemary, diluted in jojoba oil and it was doing ok. I had less issues overall.I got to try the folium medica healing oil and it has done wonders. my skin hasn't been so clear in years. the ingredients are plain English and it's just 12 or 13 different essential and carrier oils and that's my favorite thing about it. I use jojoba and carrot seed oil to moisturize any dry spots because I just haven't found a moisturizer that doesn't break me out or burn me or both. if I have a real bad spot pop up I'll put tea tree straight on it to calm it down quickly.

I don't really have any suggestions on products but what I've found is that once you find your selection of products that work for you, stick with them! I used to constantly change up what face wash I used or what toner I used and this caused my skin to clear up then breakout again then my face would clear up again just as I had changed products again and this cycle would continue. I now stick to the same products and have found that my skin remains relatively clear all of the time except for those breakouts once a month. One thing I do suggest is using some form of facewashing machine (Clarisonic etc). I use the one from Clinique. It's helped my skin clear up so much as it works far better than my fingers which I previously used to apply my facewash/scrub.

Diet is key. Also try more water intact and doing a clay mask.

Hello. I developed acne at age 29, I saw a dermatologist who did prescribe retin A for me. She also provided a list of do's and don'ts that I stick by now. Use a gentle cleanser-she recommended cetaphil (my fave), purpose, and Neutrogena ultra gentle. Use moisturizer with spf and toner without alcohol. She also recommended I stop exfoliating with scrubs as they irritate and can tear pores. Use a washcloth on your face and only use it once so bacteria can't linger. Hope some of this helps.

P. s. By only using a washcloth once I need to be clear to launder after each use. I keep a basket in the bathroom and put my washcloth in the hamper after using it only on my face, one time. Not advocating extra waste!

Drink lots of water, and even put water on your face once and a while. I use Mary Kay Clearproof Acne system, and it works so well. Also, taking chocolate out of your diet will help. My friend who is studyind dermatology in school said that other fried or junk foods really don't effect your skin, but chocolate does. Also, try to eat lots of fruit, and change your pillowcase every week. This might sound weird, but because of laying on it everynight, tons of bacteria and germs can spread onto your face when you lay on it at night. Hope this is helpful!
