This is no exaggeration, pack everything. Seriously, pack for all occasions and for every weather. I'm an hour away from London and this weather is so ridiculously changeable. I've had sun and thunder and rain today in the space of an hour.

I also agree with Hannah, I spend quite a bit of time around half an hour away from London and the weather is so temperamental. The only good thing is that there usually aren't extreme temperatures, it rarely gets warmer than 25 degrees or below 0 degrees in winter. definitely make sure to bring an umbrella though lol.

Summer clothes, but I'd bring pairs of jeans and leggings, long sleeved tshirts, jumpers, definitely a few sweatshirts as it's a lot colder in the evenings. Boots, sandals, trainers. Definitely a raincoat, make that the second thing on your list! Bring summer dresses, skirts, tops, trousers, etc.too though as we do have some lovely warm days.

You'll want to be comfy a lot too as London is a ton of walking and the tubes and trains can be really busy, especially in the summer as there's a lot going on. Take a bag which you can keep really close to you and zips up securely as whilst it doesn't happen a lot, on busy trains there are robberies.
Places I'd definitely visit (depends where you're staying) are Camden market, Spitalfields and Brick Lane market, the National Gallery and the Tate Gallery, Westfield shopping centre, Oxford Street, Trafalgar Square and Leicester Square. If you like Chinese food, a restaurant I really recommend is Wonkei, which does amazing Chinese food, I go there all the time. The Science museum is also great fun too, they have some fantastic interactive exhibitions. If you're going to exhibitions or popular places, I'd recommend going on weekdays rather than weekends as it can be cheaper and will most likely be less busy (however if you go during summer holidays which is 23rd ish of July onwards it might be a little busier). There's loads of stuff to do in London, you won't get bored! If you're 18 or over you could go to the Ministry of Sound nightclub, which is fab. The south bank is where the London Eye is which is a really lovely walk and Hyde Park always has events on and is great for a sit down :)
