I finally got a beauty sponge. it's not a Beauty Blender Brand, but a Bungalow Beauty B9 sponge. It was on sale for 2 bucks at TJMaxx. I'm really impressed with it. I'm able to use a foundation that I absolutely hated, Maybelline Matte and Poreless. Before the sponge, I'd apply it with a kabuki brush. It would sink into my pores, exaggerating them and fine lines and wrinkles. with the sponge, it definitely made the finish smooth and looked amazing. I definitely see a differnece with my concealer under my eyes. I've tried 2 Different concealers with this sponge; Hardcandy Glamoflauge Heavy Duty Concealer & Maybelline Coverstick concealer. Both turned out almost completely crease free. If you've been holding out on a beauty sponge, I definitely recommend this brand if you don't want to drop 25 bucks on a more expensive brand.

This is the great foundation finish I get with the sponge. I used Maybelline Matte and Poreless foundation & Coverstick Concealer. It makes the finish so smooth.

I used the NYX Sex Bomb palette, the red and grey in my crease. and the glitter is just craft glitter from Dollar tree applied with a flat shadow brush on top of wet n wild eyelash glue. the lip color is Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain in Parisian Passion.

I totally get what you mean with the smoothness, I've been a sponge lover for a long time now, the finish is so perfected and even. That makeup look is absolutely stunning on you! I'd also love to know what you are wearing? :)

Real techniques sponge is amazing too. If not I'd say it's better than a beauty blender.

@Shengmin L. Thank you, that's good to know. I honestly don't think I can go back to just brushes. I feel silly for waiting so long to get a sponge.

Beautiful look! And that's a really interesting shape for a sponge! I know you said you haven't used the original Beauty Blender, but how do you feel like the little segments of the top part worked/felt? Do the ridges absorb a lot of product?

@Jamie D. The little ridges were weird to me at first, but it's actually great at getting into corners of the nose and inner eyes. it doesn't absorb a lot of product. I use the weird end for highlighter and under my eyes smoothing out concealer and applying powder under my eyes.

I like the look of that sponge. I'll have to check my tj maxx for it. Your skin looks great and I love that lip color on you.

Wauw I never seen a sponge like that, I'm so curious - How does theridges work? Are the firm or so soft that it almost works like a brush? Do you wet it like with a beauty blender?
Also you look beautiful with that dark lip :)

@Grace T Thanks so much.

@Sabrina K Yes you wet it, it almost doubles in size. the ridges are very soft and flexible. I'll dip the ridged end in powder and apply it to my under eyes, sometimes my entire face. The little ridges really work well around the nose and eyes.

Thanks Kim! its fun to see all these different shapes, I have only ever used an egg formed one! I wonder if there's a difference in applications or if its all the same with a makeup sponge!

I love that brand of sponge! It's my second fave to the beauty blender itself. I've never seen that shape before though 😱 But You look gorgeous and glowy so it must work hehe.
