I have whole bunch of eye shadows and foundation concealers lipsticks eye liners lip liner And face powder and brushes from them.. I personally like them.. Once you get hooked you will want more! I'de go to a Mac counter/store and have them custom to your skin needs and you can get some samples of different foundations to see which works for you.. I've never had a problem with their make up its always held up to any whether for me.. The fix plus is great can be used to brighten shadows and make glittery ones stick also as a makeup refresher and to set the make up.. If you get shadows I'de recommend get a paint pot as a primer to bring out the true shadow colors on your kid and it stays on till you wash it.. I have painterly and I love it..

I think I'm over Mac pretty much, I've found better alternatives to every product I've tried.
I've tried quite a few foundations and they just were not as good as other products I've tried.
The pro long wear concealer was nice but nothing stood out to me over drugstore concealers that made it worth the $21.
I bought the blot powder when I got my makeup done there and it's so light and thin I don't truly think it even does anything.
I have a couple eyeshadows and to me they are very chalky and not that pigmented.
Once I started using liquid lipsticks I don't even pick up my Mac ones anymore really.
Lastly, I still will be purchasing fix plus for all the reasons mentioned above. And I am considering trying a paint pot in the future.

I quite like their products. I feel like I go there a lot cause I can find most the things I'm looking for.
I love the Studio Fix Fuid, Studio Fix powder foundation, Full Coverage foundation, Face & Body, their HD airbrush foundation, pro long wear nourishing waterproof one lipsticks, lipglasses, Chromaline, Liquidlast liner, some of their mascaras and eyeshadows
I haven't found dupes for these products aside from a couple of lipstick shades and the Liquidlast liner.
I'm not that crazy about their other "pro longwear" products like the pro longwear powder, eyeshadows or lipsticks, nor am I a fan of the mineralize lipsticks.
Those newer types of stuff, I feel are just repackaged and labeled "pro longwear" or "mineralize" so they can sell it for more but I don't really think they work any better.
I love their retro matte, matte, satin and amplified lipstick formulas but lately their matte lipsticks feel more like satin and their retro mattes are more like the older mattes IMO and that's kind of annoying

MAC testing on animals isn't a definite yes, or a definite no. Here's a link that explains their position:

I've been using MAC products since the early 90's... My very first MAC purchase was a lip liner in Scarlett. With any line, there are always going to be hits and misses. That being said, I think a majority of MAC products are great. Considering the cost of drug store makeup these days, MAC still puts out pro grade products at very reasonable prices.
In my opinion, the weakest area of this line still resides in the foundations. I still love the Studio Fix Fluid, the Nourishing Pro Longwear and the Studio Sculpt for myself. I used to use the Face & Body foundation, but MUFE Face & Body absolutely puts MAC's Face & Body to shame. MAC's foundations are very consumer friendly; however, with the exception of the Face & Body, they no longer produce credible and workable professional foundations. Just my opinion. ;)
Other than the foundations, I really am quite fond of this line. I love MAC shadows, blushes, their lipsticks and liners. For the price, I don't think any line makes a significantly better lipstick than MAC. I love love and love the Blot powders; I never leave home without them. I am also quite fond of the Studio Careblend powder... great for a dry skin type. I'm still addicted to the paint pots and the Strobe Cream. MAC also makes some of the best, reasonably priced makeup brushes around. I have MAC brushes that are well over 10 years old and they are still going strong. I'm also quite fond of their In Extreme Dimension 3D Mascara.

I agree with Jacqueline 100% I've been using Mac for 16 years now and the quality of the products are definitely pro grade as well as having a signature mark on the makeup world as a whole, to this day getting a Mac lipstick makes me super happy more then any other brand out there I treasure my cult black Mac packages like gold lol, my very 1st mac products were studio fix powder foundation contrast and sketch eyeshadow and cork lipliner I will never forget. Yes there are some misses but it's mostly with L.E items like the electric cool shadows, big bounce shadows etc.but overall Mac is makeup to me...the reason why I became even more interested in the ART of it all, So about 80% of what I use aside from foundation is Mac I absolutely love it and honestly believe that without discovering it way back when my love of Makeup wouldn't be the same (:

I have a few lipsticks, fix plus and pro long wear concealer. I do love the lipsticks and have repurchased the concealer many times. Fix plus I was not a fan of. And have yet to try there shadows (:

Jacqueline how do you use your blot powder? This sounds like a stupid question, lol. I just feel like I've tried to use it to set my under eye and it doesn't really do much.
The girl who did my makeup used it to set my foundation but I usually use translucent powder for that.
I would love to know how you use yours so I could figure out mine and not let it go to waste lol.
Also why do you prefer that over the skin finish natural?

Dana: I do not use the Blot powder as a set powder. Where these powders really excel ? Touch ups. The blot powder dulls any shine without leaving behind any real additional color and texture on the skin. If you are an oily skin gal or guy, these powders are fantastic because of the super silky lightweight formula. They can also be used on combo skin types as well. Blot powder and dry skin can be finicky, but that depends on the condition of the skin and just how dry it is.
I buy disposable powder puffs by the pound, so what I do is take a clean puff, and rub it across the surface of the powder a few times. Then if fold the powder puff in half so that the side with the product is facing inwards. Then I take the sides and gently rub the puff back and forth to make sure the powder is worked into the puff... now I just reverse the puff, so that the side with the product is facing outwards and I just roll it across any oily areas that need to be touched up. Some people like to use a brush to apply it, but I much prefer using a puff. These are just fantastic touchup powders. :)
The Sheer Select powders are perfectly lovely, but I just prefer to use my No Color RCMA to set and I use the Blot powder just for touch ups. :)

I'm not a huge Mac fan, as I don't think Mac's line is an especially superior line as compared to other dept. store lines. Although, there are a few of their products I like, like their SPICE lipliner, SOFT & GENTLE highlighter, the Fix Plus and their MELBA blush. In saying all that, I haven't purchased anything from Mac in a long time. There have been some controversies surrounding the company that has turned me off, and there are so many comparable or better products out there to choose from.

I love the fix plus spray my only complaint is the product doesn't last well for me anyway. I use a lot of it though 😊 I think Mac is worth the price. The msf powders are nice, the lipsticks are my favourites in terms of formula and colour range, the prolong wear concealer and foundation is really nice too. I'm not a huge fan of their regular blushes they don't last long on my cheeks which is odd because other brands of blush do. I must try the prolong wear blushes though they might last longer on me!

Don't get their lipsticks or at least their matte ones they stay on for like 5 minutes. they don't stay on long at all and the matte cracks too.
