Hmmm... I think it depends on the person doing your makeup.
There's a huge misconception that sales associates that work at counters are makeup artists but that isn't really the case.
They're sales associates that are mostly hired on being able to sell products.
If you do go, I'd have the person with the nicest makeup do yours if you really want someone else to do it for you.

I've gotten it done before and had a lovely experience. The lady had good techniques and was very knowledgable. The only issue I had was that my foundation match was too dark so make sure the foundation really matches your skin before moving on.

The person that will do your makeup is a certified artist to fulfill a 45 min consultation/makeup application. Again everyone has different skills and ways to do things so just be very thorough on what you want. Plus you get to spend a minimum of $50 on product! Have fun :)

It could be a hit or miss. I've had some really good makeovers before and some not so good. It really depends on who you get and their skills, not to mention communication.
