Estée Lauder Color Match?

I use the shade 2W1 Dawn in Estée Lauder Double Wear and I've been looking to get the Double Wear Maximum Cover but I'm having a hard time figuring out what shade I should get.

The Sephora website's Color IQ didn't have a match and that particular product isn't sold anywhere in my area for me to get matched in store.

Any idea on what shade I should get? I had used the Rattan shade before but it was very yellow on me so I guess it's between Creamy Tan and Creamy Vanilla but I'm not really sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

For you skin tone I'd go with creamy tan... the creamy vanilla is really light more for the paler skin tones.

I haven't seen the colors in person but I do sort of get their color system.
I believe the first number indicates light, medium, medium dark etc

Then it has the letter for the undertone and then another number which indicates the depth in the range.

1N3 creamy vanilla is the lightest shade they have but its actually on the darker side of the "light" range. I've seen it swatched on an NC15 skintone and it's not that pale.

2C5 Creamy Tan I believe is on the darker side of the medium range.

Your color is 2W1 which I believe is on the lighter side of the medium range so I think the creamy vanilla could be a closer match, it may be a tad lighter although I could very well be wrong. Although, keep in mind that fuller coverage foundations tend to look lighter in general.

If it's a touch too light, you could probably try getting custom cover drops in a couple of shades darker to have it Match better or just a light dusting of a slightly darker powder

Alexis do you have a Macy's in your area?
Last week we were just helping Aurora try to find her shade for EL foundation lol. I would suggest that if you have a Macy's in your area to go in and swatch the foundation. :)

Yes I can! The lady even offered to order it for me but I'm waiting for my next check to get it but by then she said they'll be giving free gifts with purchase so I can get it ordered and still receive the free gift! This has worked out surprisingly well for me, lol.

She didn't say, I guess I'll find out when I get it, lol. Those cream shadows are gorgeous! Have you worn them yet? How do they wear/hold up during the day?

Also, since we're chatting, how familiar are you with NARS products? I got an email from Sephora that their 500 point perk thing is a NARS set that includes a blush, lip gloss, the pro prime eyeshadow base, and the audacious mascara. I'm kind of interested but I don't know much about their products other than all the hype some things get.

I haven't used them yet as a all day wear but will this Friday for the Gwen Stefani concert. I'll be using the LA Splash base/sealer to help it hold up so we shall see how it rolls through the evening with drinks and body heat lol I'll also be testing out the ultra strobe cream too.

I also got that sephora Nars email and thinking about using my points for it. I love nars blushes and makeup remover and the discontinued sheer matte foundation but not so much of a fan of their weightless foundation.The lipsticks are good. But I'm on the same boat as you I haven't used the mascara or the gloss or shadow base. What I would do before committing go to the store and swatch leave it on and see if this is worth it. :)

I have one lipstick from them that I got from the Sephora Favorites Give Me More Lip set from last year that I never really wear, I just wasn't wowed by it, and I retried the Luminous Weightless foundation yesterday and didn't like it much. I'll have to swatch everything tomorrow. Thanks, Alma! (:

That weightless foundation is crazy it's one that I have just sitting on my counter looking sad ugh
Yes swatch away you may like something in the line. If ever you get a chance try out bobbi brown vitamin enriched face base omg it's wonderful and I've been using it before I apply foundation and even alone because it feels like butter on the skin. :)

I did make a thread about it! It's not an audacious lipstick, just the regular lipstick line in the shade Scarlett Empress.

I had gotten a sample of the foundation and it just exaggerated any texture, creased in my smile lines, caked around my nose, and just looked worse and worse throughout the day. I was disappointed, I wanted to love it.

I've never tried anything from Bobbi Brown but I have heard of the face base before. Is it a primer?

Oh yes I also have scarlet empress it's very pretty but yes nothing mind blowing. I have a audacious lipstick in the shade Leslie which is worth checking out.

Bobbi brown face base is a oil free hydrating face base that sets the face for a foundation balance smooth finish.It can be used under makeup or alone. You can use a primer over but this stuff is a universal item.

Ugh that weightless is something they need to discontinue and bring back the sheer matte. It's ugly settles into every crease and groove. It's ok once you use it with just fingers but go beyond that it's down hill.
Before I forget I also wanted to tell you that Nyx gotcha covered water proof concealer is great with It cosmetics CC cream. :)

That's why I'm getting the Maximum Cover, I know I enjoy it and I want something full coverage to wear when I go to VidCon next month.

Is that a new concealer? I've never heard of it before!

Maximum is amazing hope you get your hands on it soon. I can't live without that foundation.
I believe that nyx concealer is new I purchased it at target a few weeks ago and I was pretty pleased and the fact it had almost the same finish as the It CC cream.Together they were a pair made in makeup heaven lol. :)
