When I see your eyes here on Beautylish, I ask myself why mine aren't looking like that. I use eyeshadow, mascara. Any ideas?

You're very lucky, it's easy to make your eyes stand out when you have dark hair, dark lashes and light eyes. Placing darker shades around your eyes will make them stand out even more. Additionally, using shades that are opposite of your eye color will bring them out more. This is called color theory, the idea that colors on opposing sides of the color wheel are complimentary and make each other more obvious. in your case, since you have such beautiful blue grey eyes, orangey/golden tones will make your eyes look even brighter, like this picture.

A really good idea is to stay away from darker shadows when you want to make your eyes bigger. You should line your water like with a white or nude pencil! It gives you a more doll look. Satin or matte shadows in the inner corners or the lid can not only give you a more awake look it can also make your eyes bigger. I hope I can help you 💕

Your eyes are pretty prominent in this pic lol but you can use a shimmer or pearlized shadow in your tearduct to make your eyes pop. you can also use an opposite color on your eye lid. I.E. if your eyes are green red really makes them pop.

Use a shimmer inner corner highlight and eyeshadow shades such as bronze, gold, cream ect. You could also apply a nude or white liner on your lower waterline to open them up.

Your eye color looks more medium in depth.
The trick to making the color really pop is by using a shade that is darker and/or the opposite color.
I think people automatically go with the opposite color but don't consider the depth of color.
For the best results, the opposite color should be the same depth if not, darker.

For example, if someone has dark blue eyes, the opposite color of blue is orange.
So if they used a peach color it doesn't really contrast as much as it could.
I would rather use a sort of burnt orange as a transition shade or using a very warm toned/orange based brown which would be dark enough and the opposite color and will help it contrast by both depth and color.

If you have green eyes, reach for a red or pink based color.
Colors include, cranberry, maroon, pink based purple etc.
you don't need to do a full on eye to give the effect with these colors, you can incorporate them in without it looking too much for everyday wear

Warm colours are blue eyes' best friend! Use a reddish toned brown in the crease or outer V and it will make them pop. I tend to use matte shades and a shimmer shade in the inner corner. As Hollie said, a nude liner on the bottom water line is also a good tip for any eye colour.

I found in my experience I have navy blue eyes so I tend to go with warm tones Browns Golds greens things like that.

You should tight line your eyes. Btw you have gorgeous eyes.

Sorry but the comment above is bad advice, tightlining your eyes will actually make them look smaller.

I disagree with Rachel, tight lining will actually make your lashes look thicker and fuller and won't effect how wide/open your eyes look. Putting black liner on the waterline is what might make your eyes look smaller (:
