Hey guys,
I have hyper pigmentation spots on my cheeks, chin and forehead and I'm trying to fade them. They're been there for awhile but I'm not sure what products are effective to treat them. What facial oils are beneficial for fading dark spots? I've read about rose hip oil, vitamin c oil and vitamin e oil -- are they any good? Also, is hyaluronic acid and other acids like this bad to use on teenage skin? "Acid" just seems quite strong and some oils I've seen have hyaluronic acid in them so I was wondering if it is okay to use on my skin. Thanks for any help :)

I recommend exfoliating gently every day. I wash my face with the Yes To Tomatoes Charcoal Face Wash and it is perfect because it is slightly exfoliating and it is amazing at clearing breakouts. I also use it with my Green Tea Konjac sponge which really helps to purify and smooth the skin gently. If my skin is especially congested I'll use some of my Garnier Daily Exfoliating Scrub (green and white bottle) and it really refreshes the skin because it has jojoba and spearmint in it. After that my skin feels super clean and fresh so I will go in with my Dickinson's Hydrating Witch Hazel Toner. Once that sets it is time to use your essences, serums and oils. I recommend a Vitamin C serum for hyperpigmentation. I also recommend looking around online for a Snail Serum. Yes, it has snail mucus in it but it has amazing regenerative properties for the skin. Amazon has a whole line of skincare from some Korean or Japanese skincare brand, it wouldnt hurt to try it out. For oils, I recommend Vitamin E, argon, rosehip, or lemon oil. These will all help to brighten your complexion. Once you apply those use a moisturizer. I recomend Mario Badescu Ceramide and AHA moisturizer. It will help worlds with acne prone/oily skin and especially hyperpifmentation. I absoluetlly love it, and I hope I helped.

I've seen a major improvement in my hyper pigmentation since I've added vitamin C, vitamin E, and an exfoliating peel to my daily routine. In the morning I use The Body Shop Vitamin C Moisturizer SPF 30, the SPF helps protect the spots from getting any darker and the vitamin C helps them fade. At night I use the Boscia Exfoliating Peel Gel, it works as a peel and an exfoliator and I've seen a huge difference in my skin since I've started using it. I follow with The Body Shop Vitamin E Serum-In-Oil so overnight it's helping fade the hyper pigmentation (:

Thanks Hailey for your explanation of how hyaluronic acid works. I have been using Monsia Skincare since Dec 2014 and the age spot that I have on my left cheek has lightened and one edge has disappeared, I can only put it down to the hyaluronic acid in the toner and day and night moisturizers. Incidentally I also apply Vit E oil after my night moisturizer.
