Hope this is under the right category. I've come out this weird kind of rash thing right under my eye and near my mouth and nose. It's dry, can be itchy at times and there's red dots. I've been to my local pharmacy twice and one person suggested it's excema and said to apply E45 and the another one said to put vaseline on it. I'm getting a doctor's appointment next week for something else, should I ask them about it? I've got a picture but it's not very clear, I'll include it anyway.

Yes, ask your doctor! In the meantime I wouldn't apply anything (especially vaseline because its just full of chemicals and will also just clog your pores) just try to leave it alone.

It looks like dermatitis, which could be brought on by a number of things. I agree with Lisa, don't apply Vaseline. I also am relieved to hear you are seeing your doctor. My best recommendation is to avoid scented products and rinse your face with cool, green tea. You can boil 2 teabags in a cup and let it steep until cool. Then soak it up with an all cotton washcloth and let it rest on your face. This naturally kills surface bacteria and eases inflammation. Change your pillowcase and pull your hair away from your face to reduce abrasive irritation. Lastly, of it itches, you can make a paste using all natural oatmeal or cool, plain Greek yogurt.
Sometimes even stress can trigger breakouts or food allergies. Taking a Benadryl should be perfectly safe and may ease your symptoms.
Best of luck at the doctor.

When he said put vaseline on it I was a bit shocked. I turned round to my fianc? and said 'nope going to the doctors'. Thank you both so much!?

Is it possible that it's an allergic reaction to a product you used? The skin around the eyes and mouth are especially sensitive esp. to retinols and retin-a.

Well the one near my mouth came before I switched my face products and then the one under my eye came after I switched the products. However, both have come after my medications have been switched to different ones so I was wondering if that could be it.

I'd try a honey and oatmeal mask.
Raw honey can kill bacteria as well as moisturize and oatmeal can help soothe irritation and I know quite a few pediatricians that recommend adding oatmeal to baths for babies with rashes.
Vaseline isn't super horrible for your skin.
Vaseline creates a film that helps lock in moisture like other types of natural oils but it works better and can help protect the skin, really helps soften the top layer and even dermatologist prescribe/recommend creams that are petrolatum or petroleum based cause it's a good moisturizer.
There's a lot of misinformation propagated by natural/organic skin care companies.
