So I'm trying to switch over to all cruelty free makeup, and I'm going to need a good liner soon because unfortunately the one I use now (Maybelline) is not cruelty free, and it does smudge. I stay pretty busy when I'm wearing eyeliner so I'm needing one with really good staying power, so I don't have to worry about it running all over my face 2 hours after its on. I don't really care if it's liquid, gel, ect. As long as it stays. Also I would like to keep it under $20 dollars if possible. Thanks! And sorry this was so long...

I believe Tarte has some cruelty free liners but I haven't tried them myself yet. I love everything I have tried from them before though, so I'm sure they wouldn't be disappointing.

Nars has a larger than life long wear eyeliner. one of my friend uses it and is happy with it. If you are looking for a drug store brand then physicians formula 2 in 1 eye boosting serum plus liner can be an option. I appreciate your attempt of switching to cruelty free make up. In the process you have to sacrifice some real good and tempting products but then we live in a world of equally good substitutes :)

NYX matte liquid eyeliner!! So worth the $8. They also have it in not matte if that's what you prefer.

Thanks! I will look into all of those. Yes I will have to sacrifice some but I believe it will be worth it! :)

My favorite cruelty free eyeliners are the Inglot gel liner, the Jordana 12 hr made to last eyeliner, the Kat von D tattoo liner in trooper, and the Physicians Formula liquid liner. I have been cruelty free for about a year now, and honestly, I don't feel like I gave anything up. There are so many amazing brands that are cruelty free, like Urban Decay, KvD, Lit Cosmetics, Tarte, and Too Faced, I don't know why I would ever use my money to support testing products on animals

Just be aware that L'orèal bought Urban Decay (2013) and NYX (2014) and L'orèal IS NOT cruelty-free.
They state that NYX and Urban Decay aren't testing on animals but it's kind of hypocritical since the money is going to their parent company, L'orèal which tests on animals.

Then L'orèal has been saying they're "cruelty-free" but a disclaimer is that they claim they "only do so when required by law" so basically, they're not really cruelty free since they're still selling in China.

I personally am not a "cruelty-free" makeup user but I do think it's worth noting if you are going cruelty free
