My favorite products for priming are MAC Strobe Cream, Smashbox Oil Primer, and Embryollise Lait Creme Concentrate (mineral based, acne prone may want to test patch this product) The Strobe cream is also perfect for using as a base or blending into foundation as it is a highlighter that moisturizes and leaves a brightening slightly pearly finish.
Sometimes, I apply it over my cheeks as it is a hydrating, subtle highlight. I tried the Too Faced Hangover, but for winter, it isn't anything impressive. I'll revisit it in summer when my skin has different needs.
Using tints (Benetint), gel stains (Tarte), oil-based blush stains (such as Josie Maran's) and cream blush (Tarte sticks and NYX are nice) will also help dry skin stay looking fabulous. You may also want to look into Josie Maran's Light Argan Oil formula. Just a hint makes a nice primer and lightly patted over foundation gives a subtle, natural dew. Sometimes, I'll simply apply Sweet Almond oil and let it soak in 10 minutes (avoiding my eye make-up area) It's inexpensive and highly effective.
Best of luck to you!

I personally wasn't a big fan and felt it didn't do very much for my dry skin. I really love the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water and the Make Up For Ever Step 1 Hydrating Primer.
